Bookkeeper

📍 Moose Jaw, SK ⏰ Full-Time 💰 $40,000 - $55,000/year

About the Role

We're looking for someone who is comfortable with numbers and organized with paperwork. You'll help keep our financial records in order and support day-to-day accounting tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone with basic bookkeeping knowledge who wants hands-on experience in a small, growing company.

What You'll Do

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate records
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Help with monthly bank reconciliations
  • Prepare basic financial reports for management
  • Assist with payroll processing and expense tracking
  • Support property management with rent collection records
  • Help organize documents for tax preparation

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma required; some college or bookkeeping courses preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
  • Comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets and willing to learn accounting software
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
  • Reliable, honest, and able to handle confidential information
  • Good communication skills in English (Mandarin is a bonus)
  • Previous bookkeeping experience is helpful but not required - we'll train the right person

Building Superintendent

About the Role

We need a handy, reliable person to oversee the daily operations of our residential properties. You'll handle basic repairs, coordinate with tenants, and keep our buildings running smoothly. Perfect for someone who likes hands-on work, enjoys problem-solving, and is good with people.

What You'll Do

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
  • Respond to tenant requests and maintenance issues
  • Conduct regular property inspections and safety checks
  • Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs
  • Handle snow removal, lawn care, and general upkeep
  • Assist with tenant move-ins and move-outs
  • Keep supply inventory and report major issues to management
  • Ensure buildings comply with safety regulations

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Handy with tools and basic home repair skills
  • Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors
  • Good people skills and patience dealing with tenants
  • Able to respond to emergencies (may include after-hours calls)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and communication
  • Previous building maintenance or property management experience is a plus but not required
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
